UAE and China review Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in Beijing talks

Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Presidential Special Envoy to China and Chairman of Abu Dhabi’s Executive Affairs Authority, has met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing to review bilateral ties under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership established in 2018.

The two sides discussed expanding cooperation across key sectors, exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and stressed the value of continued coordination. UAE Ambassador to China Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi and senior officials from both countries attended.

The talks build on strong commercial momentum, with non-oil trade between the two nations crossing USD 100 billion for the first time in 2025, rising 24.5% to USD 111.5 billion (AED 410 billion).

China remains the UAE’s largest trading partner, accounting for around 11% of its non-oil trade, while the UAE represents roughly a third of China’s non-oil commodity trade with the Arab world. In April, the countries signed 24 memoranda of understanding at the UAE-China Business Promotion Conference in Beijing.
