Dubai AI Week to host $272k competition

The first-ever Dubai AI Week will run from 21–25 April. The event will bring together more than 10,000 participants from over 100 countries for a landmark exploration of AI’s impact on business and society.

The headline event is the Global Prompt Engineering Championship, set to be the world’s largest generative AI competition, offering a prize pool of $272,000. The contest will see finalists battle it out to showcase the creative and technical power of AI tools.

Dubai AI Week will also feature high-level summits, hackathons, and an expo zone, with key events including the AI Retreat (21 April) as well as the Dubai Assembly for AI (21–24 April) where policymakers, CEOs, and academics will shape AI governance.

The event is backed by major players including Meta, IBM, Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, and Nvidia.
