The UAE will install over 500 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations by the end of 2025 as part of its commitment to sustainable mobility and carbon reduction.
The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, which holds a 50% stake in UAEV, deployed more than 100 EV chargers across the country in 2024 and is accelerating efforts to expand the network this year. This move aligns with the UAE government’s broader strategy to enhance clean transportation infrastructure in partnership with the private sector and local authorities.
Beyond EV infrastructure, the Ministry is also focusing on renewable energy development, with plans to boost the nation’s clean energy capacity to over 14 gigawatts by 2030.
