Saudi Arabia recorded sharp growth in intellectual property activity in the first half of 2025, with patent applications rising 23% to 4,928, of which 1,885 were granted. Trademark filings also expanded, reaching 27,938 applications which is a 15% increase.
KSA has also advanced significantly in international rankings, its score in the US Chamber of Commerce’s International Intellectual Property Index putting it among the top performers globally.
These developments highlight Saudi Arabia’s drive to enhance its innovation ecosystem and reinforce its position as a regional centre for creativity and entrepreneurship.
