The Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA) has joined forces with NVIDIA, KKR and Vistra to establish Helix Digital Infrastructure, a consolidated platform designed to serve hyperscale data centre operators with total capital commitments exceeding USD 10 billion.
The venture targets the integrated infrastructure requirements of AI-driven hyperscalers, spanning data centre operations, power generation and connectivity.
Helix is led by Adam Selipsky, the former CEO of Amazon Web Services, with KKR's Waldemar Szlezak serving as chief investment officer. The platform is structured around long-duration capital commitments, reflecting the scale and complexity of AI infrastructure buildout, which analysts project could require trillions of dollars of investment over the next decade.
KIA views the partnership as a strategic long-term opportunity within the digital economy, complementing the sovereign wealth fund's broader push into technology and AI-enabling assets. The NVIDIA and Vistra partnerships are intended to provide Helix with cutting-edge chip access and power generation capabilities respectively.
