EGA targets greater female representation

Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) has announced that it has recruited 113 Emirati women in 2024, representing more than half of the total 220 UAE Nationals hired during the year.

Women currently hold just over 23% of supervisory roles at the company and almost 10% of all roles. EGA aims to boost women’s representation further, targeting 25% of supervisory roles by the end of this year and 15% of all roles by 2026.

The move reflects EGA’s commitment to gender diversity as well as increased Emiratisation, with a plan to hire up to 600 UAE Nationals by 2027, potentially achieving a 50% Emiratisation rate.

EGA’s recruitment and training initiatives are part of its strategy to be a leader in fostering Emirati talent and gender diversity.
