Dubai’s healthcare sector kept growing in the first half of 2026. Licensed medical facilities rose 7% year on year to 5,931, up from 5,541 in H1 2025, according to a new Dubai Health Authority (DHA) report.
The licensed workforce grew 6.5% to 70,566 professionals, from 66,277 a year earlier, with women accounting for 47,927 of the total and men 22,639. Home healthcare was the fastest-growing segment: licensed providers jumped 22.7% to 249 from 203, while complementary and alternative medicine centres increased 8.1% to 107.
Regulatory oversight also tightened. DHA inspection and monitoring visits rose 36.3%, and facility compliance with standards improved to 80% from 75%. The figures build on a record 2025, when Dubai ended the year with roughly 5,800 facilities and more than 69,400 private-sector professionals. DHA Director General Dr Alawi Alsheikh-Ali credited the momentum to talent attraction and a supportive investment climate.
