Dara Holdings invests in female-led UAE startups

Dara Holdings has stepped up its investments in female-led startups across the UAE, with a particular focus on addressing the gender financing gap in the region’s business ecosystem. By backing women entrepreneurs, this marks a shift in a traditionally male-dominated funding landscape. Earlier this year, the company joined a $10m seed funding round for qeen.ai, a female-led AI startup that is based in Dubai.

This major investment comes at an opportune time, as female-founded businesses in MENA continue to secure only a small share of regional venture funding, underscoring the importance of targeted support to close the financing gap and strengthen women’s role in the innovation economy.
