Bahrain roars into 2025 F1 season with double duties

Bahrain will once again host Formula 1 pre-season testing. This marks the fifth consecutive year the Kingdom has been selected for this event, further cementing its reputation as a premier motorsport destination in the Middle East.

Scheduled from 26 to 28 February 2025, the pre-season tests will bring together all 10 F1 teams as they prepare for the upcoming FIA Formula 1 World Championship. Bahrain will also host the fourth race of the season from 11 to 13 April 2025.

The country’s role hosting pre-season testing as well as a major race not only highlights its importance in the global motorsport community but also draws international visitors, generates extensive media attention, and showcases Bahrain’s facilities and hospitality on a global scale.

The World Economic Forum recently highlighted the Middle East as one of the world’s fastest-growing tourism markets, with sports tourism emerging as a significant contributor to its expansion. Even as the world continues to grapple with the aftermath of the pandemic, the Middle East sports industry is projected to grow at a robust rate of 8.7% by 2026, in contrast with the global sports industry which is expected to achieve only 3.3% growth over the same period.

For businesses in the Gulf, pre-season testing represents a unique platform to engage with an international audience and explore partnership opportunities within the F1 ecosystem. It also aligns with the region’s broader goals of promoting innovation, sustainability, and excellence through high-profile global events.
