Abu Dhabi-based BlueFive Capital has completed the acquisition of a 30% equity stake in Bugatti Rimac from Porsche AG, becoming the second-largest shareholder in the company behind the Bugatti supercar brand.
The transaction closed on September 9 following regulatory approvals. Rimac Group retains its 55% controlling stake, while BlueFive secures one board seat and two observer positions. The deal formed part of a broader transaction in which Porsche AG and a HOF Capital-led consortium, with BlueFive as its largest investor alongside institutional investors from the US and Europe, signed agreements in April 2026, generating approximately USD 1.16 billion in proceeds for the Porsche Group.
BlueFive, launched in November 2024 and headquartered in Abu Dhabi Global Market, manages more than USD 15 billion in assets across private equity and other private-market strategies. Founder and CEO Hazem Ben-Gacem described the acquisition as a landmark transaction and an important step in expanding the firm's private equity footprint in Europe.
