Dubai launches Generation DubAI platform to guide families on children’s AI use

Dubai has launched Generation DubAI, a free bilingual platform helping parents and caregivers guide children aged eight to 15 in using artificial intelligence safely and creatively.

Developed by the Dubai Future Foundation and the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence in partnership with the Community Development Authority, the initiative falls under the UAE’s Year of the Family 2026. Guidance is split across two developmental stages: eight to 11, when children begin using AI independently, and 12 to 15, when privacy, identity and social pressures carry greater weight.

Content draws on international frameworks from UNICEF, MIT RAISE, Common Sense Media and Internet Matters, and has been validated by the Community Development Authority. Families can access the platform without creating an account. The launch builds on wider AI education efforts in the emirate, including a DP World Foundation, KHDA and MIT RAISE programme reaching around 80,500 Grade 6 to 8 pupils across Dubai’s private schools through 2030.
