Mwani Qatar's three ports – Hamad, Ruwais and Doha – posted strong month-on-month growth in June 2026, with 121 vessels calling during the period, a 21% increase on May. Container throughput reached 78,002 TEUs, up 13%, while bulk cargo surged 40% to 67,371 tonnes and general cargo handled totalled 23,092 tonnes, alongside 7,264 heads of livestock.
The results reinforce Qatar's position as a regional logistics hub at a time of heightened maritime disruption across the broader Gulf. Hamad Port separately climbed three places to rank eighth globally and second in the Gulf region in the World Bank and S&P Global Market Intelligence's 2025 Container Port Performance Index, which measures efficiency primarily on vessel turnaround times.
Mwani Qatar attributed continued operational gains to advanced technology deployment, digital innovation and a strategic mandate under Qatar National Vision 2030 to diversify economic activity and deepen the country's integration into global supply chains.
