The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry has revealed youth-led businesses registered with the Chamber almost doubled between 2023 and 2024.
According to the Chamber, more than 21,240 members aged 18 to 35 are now affiliated, with registered capital exceeding $4bn. The group is almost evenly split between Emiratis and expatriates, reflecting the emirate’s cosmopolitan economy and growing appeal as a centre for innovation.
Trade accounts for 40% of youth-run businesses, followed by construction, administrative services, hospitality and food ventures. The surge underscores Abu Dhabi’s emergence as a leading regional destination for ambitious young founders.
