Dan Company, a PIF firm focused on ecotourism, has partnered with Abdulmohsen Al-Tamimi Contracting Company to build the first luxury resorts in Al-Ahsa, Saudi Arabia. This marks another milestone in the nation’s growing tourism and hospitality sectors.
Al-Ahsa Oasis is a UNESCO World Heritage site located between Riyadh and Dammam that is home to Al-Ahsa National Park, Yellow Lake, as well as natural springs and date palm groves.
The resorts themselves will focus on sustainability, innovation and authentic hospitality, offering three unique experiences: The luxury Tuaja Premium Farm Resort, the eco-friendly Tuaja Eco Resort, and the adrenaline-filled Tuaja Adventure Resort.
Spanning 1.8 million square metres, the resorts will feature 201 accommodation units, including hotel rooms and high-end villas. Guests can enjoy a variety of dining options, including a ‘farm-to-table’ experience, a spa, and sports facilities. A community centre will support local artisans, while an event hall will host a range of functions.
The resort will combine modern sustainability practices with a focus on preserving the region’s cultural and natural heritage. The development aims to achieve LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, reflecting its commitment to environmental responsibility and to
contribute to Saudi Vision 2030 by enhancing the local economy and creating jobs.
