UAE, Ukraine sign landmark CEPA

The UAE and Ukraine have signed a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) set to boost their economies, adding $369 million to the UAE’s GDP and $874 million to Ukraine’s by 2031.

The deal will remove customs duties on 99% of Ukrainian imports of UAE goods and 97% of Ukrainian exports to the UAE, paving the way for greater trade flows.

Ukraine remains a key trading partner for the UAE, with bilateral trade reaching $372.4 million in 2024. The agreement is expected to further strengthen strategic ties and expand economic opportunities between the two nations.

As part of its broader trade agenda, the UAE has now signed 24 CEPA agreements with major regional and international partners, covering markets that collectively represent around 2.5 billion people.
