The UAE has introduced four new visit visa categories as part of efforts to attract global talent and boost its tourism offering. The visas target specialists in AI, professionals in the entertainment sector, international event attendees, and cruise ship and leisure boat tourists.
The AI visa allows single or multiple entries, subject to a letter from a sponsoring entity. An entertainment visa covers temporary stays for performers, while an event visa applies to visitors attending conferences, exhibitions or festivals with backing from a host organisation. A multiple-entry tourism visa is also available for cruise and leisure itineraries through licensed operators.
The authority wants the measures reinforce the UAE’s openness and global competitiveness.
