UAE investment puts Middle East precision medicine on track for double-digit growth

Precision medicine in the Middle East is forecast to grow by 10 to 12% over the next five to seven years, according to a new Frost & Sullivan report produced for World Health Expo (WHX).

The analysis credits UAE investment in genomics, AI and advanced manufacturing as a key driver of the shift. The Emirati Genome Program targets one million genetic samples, while Abu Dhabi's HELM cluster is projected to attract more than AED 42 billion, add over AED 94 billion to the emirate's GDP and create around 30,000 jobs by 2045.

The report also cites the 2025 launch of Mubadala Bio and Insilico Medicine's Abu Dhabi centre, which nominated the UAE's first fully AI-discovered preclinical candidates in under 12 months. Frost & Sullivan values the Middle East and Africa pharmaceutical market at USD 58.66 billion in 2025, or 3.6% of the global total. WHX will launch a dedicated Pharma Zone at its January 2027 Dubai edition.
