Dubai-based real estate crowdfunding platform SmartCrowd has launched Flip, a fractional investment model that allows individuals to co-invest in high-end property renovations.
Traditionally a space dominated by HNWIs, the property flipping market in Dubai is now being opened to a broader base of investors. The model enables participants to invest in renovation projects valued at up to $9.5m without direct involvement in project management. SmartCrowd oversees all stages of the process, from property acquisition to renovation and resale.
According to SmartCrowd, four Flip projects have already completed and sold. The company reports an average return of 28% across completed projects.
