The Saudi Ports Authority has launched a new trade bridge linking Sharjah in the UAE with Saudi Arabia, aimed at improving cross-border cargo movement and strengthening regional logistics integration.
The corridor will connect Sharjah with Dammam through a multimodal transport model that combines land and sea routes, enabling faster and more efficient movement of goods between the two markets.
Officials said the initiative will streamline cross-border processes, enhance infrastructure connectivity and improve coordination between ports and inland logistics hubs. The trade bridge is also expected to reduce transit times and increase reliability for businesses operating across the UAE–Saudi trade corridor.
The move supports growing regional trade volumes and reinforces supply chain resilience, positioning the corridor as a key logistics link within the Gulf.
