QIA leads USD 200m Series D round for autonomous freight operator Gatik

The Qatar Investment Authority has co-led a USD 200 million Series D funding round for US-based autonomous trucking company Gatik, alongside Koch Disruptive Technologies, with participation from ARK Invest, Millennium Management, Intact Private Capital, and Arca Continental.

Gatik operates fully driverless trucks across active customer networks – spanning Texas, Arizona, Arkansas, and Ontario, Canada – transporting goods between distribution centres and retail stores for Fortune 50 retailers, grocery chains, and consumer packaged goods companies. The company has completed more than 85,000 fully driverless orders and holds over USD 600 million in contracted revenue.

Proceeds will fund expansion of Gatik's high-frequency regional freight network, which uses AI-driven vehicles on both highways and local roads. The investment extends QIA's push into physical AI and logistics automation, following earlier commitments to Japanese robotics firm Mujin, humanoid robot developer Apptronik, and AI infrastructure platforms including SambaNova and Anthropic.
