Qatar’s Rasmal Ventures backs Yuno in USD 45m Series B as fintech anchors GCC hub in Doha

Rasmal Ventures, Qatar's first institutionally backed investment firm and a vehicle trusted by the Qatar Investment Authority, has joined a USD 45 million Series B round for Yuno, a Colombia-founded AI-native payments operating system, as the company establishes Qatar as its regional GCC headquarters.

The round was led by Global PayTech Ventures, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, Tiger Global, QuantumLight Capital, Monashees, Kaszek, and Endeavor Catalyst, alongside regional co-investors Further Ventures of Abu Dhabi and GrowthX Capital.

Founded in 2022 by Juan Pablo Ortega and Julián Núñez, Yuno connects enterprise merchants, banks, and wallets to more than 1,000 payment methods across 190 countries through a single API.

The company secured a Payment Technical Service Provider certification from the Saudi Central Bank in April 2026, and has activated local payment rails including Mada, KNET, and NAPS across all six GCC markets through a partnership with Tap Payments, while a tie-up with buy-now-pay-later platform Tabby extends its reach to more than 25 million shoppers in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
