Financial services provider Paymob has announced a partnership with the open source eCommerce platform Woo. The collaboration marks Woo’s first preferred partnership in the region, integrating Paymob’s payment technology directly into the WooCommerce Marketplace.
MENA’s digital commerce space is growing, with the region’s eCommerce sector on track to reach $50bn by 2025, driven by smartphone adoption, a digitally savvy population, and rising demand for cashless transactions. Despite this growth, many SMEs still encounter barriers to scaling their operations which this partnership seeks to address.
Through this agreement, WooCommerce merchants can now access Paymob’s checkout experience, which supports over 50 local and international payment methods, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, and regional alternatives. The embedded solution is designed for mobile optimisation, ensuring a secure and frictionless transaction process with built-in 3D Secure authentication and PCI compliance.
The partnership highlights Woo’s confidence in Paymob’s ability to provide customised payment solutions tailored to the needs of MENA-based businesses.
