Emerge, the energy solutions joint venture between Masdar and EDF, has signed a long-term solar energy agreement with Misk City in Saudi Arabia to deliver sustainable electricity for the next 20 years.
The agreement marks a major milestone in Misk City’s drive to become a model of green urbanism and environmental innovation.
The project will involve the development of a rooftop solar photovoltaic plant. Once complete, the system is expected to significantly reduce carbon emissions and support the city’s efforts toward achieving LEED certification. The initiative is aligned with the sustainable urban transformation plans outlined Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
