Lucid Group and Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) have announced a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating innovation in electric vehicle (EV) and autonomous driving technologies.
The collaboration brings together Lucid’s advanced EV engineering and KAUST’s world-class research capabilities to support the next phase of mobility development.
The partnership will focus on advancing Lucid’s autonomous driving and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), with KAUST contributing expertise across mechanical, electrical, thermal, and chemical engineering. The joint initiative also aims to bridge cutting-edge academic research with real-world applications.
Research efforts will explore advanced materials such as high-performance composites, heat-reflective glass coatings, and innovative laminates – designed to improve EV efficiency, safety, and durability.
