Etihad Airways has signed a significant agreement with Boeing to purchase 28 wide-body aircraft, reinforcing the UAE flag carrier’s long-term growth strategy. The deal includes a mix of Boeing 787 and 777X models, equipped with GE engines and supported by a comprehensive services package.
Announced during a high-profile visit by US President Donald Trump to the Gulf, the order aligns with Etihad’s plans to double in size by 2030.
The new aircraft are scheduled for delivery from 2028, bolstering the airline’s ambitions to expand global connectivity, improve efficiency, and elevate the passenger experience.
