Emirates Development Bank (EDB) has launched a series of financing solutions and support initiatives aimed at boosting startups, micro businesses, and SMEs under the national campaign The Emirates: Startup Capital of the World.
The programme is designed to enhance access to capital, drive innovation, and strengthen the UAE’s position as a leading global centre for entrepreneurship.
As part of the rollout, EDB will allocate $136m in financing through credit guarantees, co-lending schemes, and receivables-based support in partnership with fintech platforms. The campaign reinforces the UAE’s broader goal of empowering Emirati entrepreneurs, diversifying the national economy, and accelerating growth.
