Dubai Airshow sees Airbus deals and eVTOL debut

The Dubai Airshow is currently underway and has already seen the signing of multiple agreements with airlines across the EMEA region.

Etihad Airways has committed to six A330‑900s, seven A350‑1000s, and three A350F freighters, while also leasing nine additional A330‑900s. Meanwhile, flydubai agreed to acquire up to 150 A321neo narrow-body jets from Airbus.

Meanwhile, eVTOL startup Joby (JOBY) unveiled its air taxi service in the UAE ahead of a planned 2026 commercial launch, offering fully electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft.
