Blackstone to open Kuwait office in Q3 2026

Blackstone, the world's largest alternative asset manager with over USD 1.3 trillion in assets under management, has announced plans to establish a physical presence in Kuwait through the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA), with the office expected to open in Q3 2026.

The move deepens a relationship between Blackstone and Kuwait that spans nearly four decades, and reflects the firm's confidence in the country's economic diversification agenda. Blackstone's President and COO Jon Gray described Kuwait as having the resources, vision and leadership to become a key regional commercial and financial hub, positioning private capital as a driver of the country's long-term transition away from oil dependency.

The Kuwait opening forms part of a broader regional push, with Blackstone signalling plans to announce additional GCC offices over the coming year. KDIPA Director General Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah said the move reinforces Kuwait's standing as a destination for sustainable investment growth.
