Bahrain, UK sign $2.7bn sustainability deal

Bahrain and the UK have signed a second Strategic Investment and Collaboration Partnership (SIP2), securing a $2.7bn investment from Bahrain’s private sector into the UK.

The agreement focuses on advancing carbon reduction initiatives and sustainable development projects across the UK, reinforcing both nations’ commitment to climate action and green innovation.

This partnership builds on earlier economic cooperation between the two countries, with SIP2 aiming to channel strategic investments into key sectors that align with global sustainability goals. It also reflects Bahrain’s growing role as a regional hub for green finance and sustainable development.
