Arada commits AED 2bn to build 800-bed UAE hospital network

UAE master developer Arada is rolling out a four-hospital healthcare network backed by AED 2 billion in total investment, as the company accelerates its shift away from purely residential revenues.

The expansion builds on Arada's recent acquisition of a controlling stake in Abu Dhabi's Reem Hospital, which will double its existing Reem Island capacity to 200 beds in the near term. Three additional hospitals – in Sharjah's Aljada community, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi – will follow on a built-to-lease basis with operating partners. At full capacity, the network will handle up to four million patient visits annually.

The move positions Arada as the first regional master developer with a fully integrated health and wellness portfolio, complementing its gym brand Formative – currently the UAE's largest by revenue – alongside recent F&B and hospitality ventures. Construction contracts across Arada's commercial pipeline exceeded AED 3 billion last year.
