ADX named Arab Exchange with highest market cap to GDP ratio

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has been named the Arab Exchange with the Highest Market Capitalisation to GDP Ratio for its 2025 performance by the Arab Federation of Capital Markets (AFCM).

AFCM data shows ADX recorded a market capitalisation-to-GDP ratio of 261.7% in 2025, more than double the Arab average of 129.9%, underlining the emirate's development into a mature, globally connected capital markets hub.

Group CEO Abdulla Salem Alnuaimi said the exchange plans to accelerate efforts to widen access for overseas issuers and institutional investors, deepen liquidity and expand listings across asset classes, positioning ADX as a key pillar of Abu Dhabi's long-term economic growth and a preferred regional gateway for global capital.
