The Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) has announced a major reduction in commercial license fees effective 1st January 2025. The new fee structure, aimed at enhancing ADGM’s business ecosystem, offers significant savings for non-financial and retail businesses operating within the jurisdiction.
Under the revised schedule, initial registration fees for non-financial businesses have been halved from $10,000 to $5,500, while annual renewal fees are reduced from $8,000 to $5,000. For retail businesses, initial registration fees have dropped from $6,000 to $2,500, and annual renewals will now cost $2,000, down from $4,000.
These changes follow the conclusion of the Al Reem Island transition period on December 31, 2024, and apply to all areas within ADGM, including Al Maryah and Al Reem Islands.
The decision comes after extensive consultations with the ADGM business community, focusing on expanding the jurisdiction and improving the business environment. Based on this feedback, the ADGM Registration Authority conducted a comprehensive review to create a fee structure that supports the needs of the region’s growing commercial sector.
The move aims to attract new enterprises and facilitate the growth of existing businesses within ADGM.
