Abu Dhabi's Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) has upgraded the emirate's holiday home regulatory system, reducing approval times and introducing new digital tools for monitoring, inspections and compliance tracking.
The platform builds on reforms introduced in 2024, when integration with the Department of Municipalities and Transport and a self-inspection system brought permit issuance times down to under six hours. The latest enhancements extend those gains with improved revenue management capabilities, stronger coordination across government entities and data protection measures aligned with security and integrity requirements.
Operators gain a clearer framework for meeting quality and safety standards, with the system positioned as part of Abu Dhabi's broader digital transformation agenda. DCT Abu Dhabi said the reforms support Tourism Strategy 2030 commitments to develop the holiday home segment and diversify the emirate's accommodation offering as it pursues its standing as a world-class tourism destination.
