Abu Dhabi set for 2026 RoboTaxi launch

UAE-based Autogo has commenced trials for its RoboTaxi service in Abu Dhabi. The initiative is part of a strategic partnership with Apollo Go, the autonomous mobility arm of Chinese tech giant Baidu, which specialises in large-scale self-driving transportation. The collaboration aims to introduce cutting-edge mobility solutions to Abu Dhabi’s streets, aligning with the emirate’s smart transport ambitions.

The trials are being conducted in coordination with Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Transport Centre to ensure compliance with local transport regulations and infrastructure requirements. RoboTaxi vehicles, powered by advanced AI and an all-electric design, promise a seamless and intelligent travel experience, capable of responding in real time to road conditions.

Full-scale operations are scheduled to start in 2026.
