Abdul Latif Jameel has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Uber to explore the development of a new fleet operations platform in Saudi Arabia.
A key focus will be on accelerating the deployment of autonomous vehicles (AVs), contributing to Saudi Arabia’s shift towards an electric and autonomous transport ecosystem.
The collaboration aims to support local fleet operations and enable the creation of 30,000 jobs, while aligning with national efforts to modernise urban infrastructure and integrate cutting-edge mobility solutions.
By combining Abdul Latif Jameel’s local expertise with Uber’s global technology and mobility network, the initiative is set to contribute to Saudi Arabia’s giga-projects and broader economic development goals.
