Arcapita earmarks USD 1.5bn for GCC industrial and logistics expansion

Bahrain-based alternative investment firm Arcapita Group Holdings plans to invest an additional USD 1.5 billion in industrial and logistics real estate across the GCC over the next 24 months, adding to the more than USD 2 billion it already manages in the sector.

The firm announced the programme at the Gateway Gulf Investment Forum 2026 in Manama, hosted by the Bahrain Economic Development Board. It will focus on developing and acquiring high-quality assets, with an emphasis on build-to-suit facilities for regional and international occupiers. Lintara Properties, Arcapita’s dedicated platform launched in October 2025, will lead origination, development and asset management. Lintara oversees 6.6 million sq ft across 32 properties in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

In 2026 alone, Arcapita began building the 1.4 million sq m ASMO logistics hub at Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Energy Park, completed a 30,000 sq m facility for DSV in Jebel Ali Free Zone and broke ground on a 20,000 sq m DP World centre there.
