NMC Healthcare commits AED 150mn to Abu Dhabi facility expansion

NMC Healthcare has announced an AED 150 million investment to expand its medical facilities and specialist services across Abu Dhabi, including new clinics, hospital upgrades and additional treatment capacity.

The programme forms part of the private healthcare provider’s growth strategy, launched a year ago, and several projects are already complete, including new clinics in Al Riyad City and Yas Mall. The next phase is a five-year redevelopment of Royal Hospital Khalifa City, which will add more than 20 inpatient beds, 20 outpatient consultation rooms and an expanded emergency department with over 40 treatment bays.

Further plans include new orthopaedics and physiotherapy departments at the hospital and an urgent care centre at NMC Royal Hospital Abu Dhabi. The company has also launched the NMC Mowj Child Development Medical Complex, which assesses children up to eight years old for possible neurodevelopmental disabilities.
