The UAE General Budget Committee has held its 15th meeting to review the draft federal budget under the medium-term strategic plan for the 2027–2029 fiscal years, with deliberations centred on fiscal year 2027.
Members assessed preliminary expenditure estimates and revenue forecasts prepared under Federal Decree-Law No. 26 of 2019 on Public Finance and updated tax legislation, alongside the government’s 2026 financial position, funding requests for new strategic projects and capital works completed this year. The cycle builds on the record AED 92.4 billion 2026 budget, a near-29% leap on 2025’s AED 71.5 billion.
