Beijing-headquartered, publicly listed investment bank China Securities has received a license from the DIFC Authority to establish its regional presence in the Dubai International Financial Centre, and is also authorised by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA).
The firm operates across equity and debt capital markets, investment banking, asset management and institutional services, and will use the Dubai office to support its work with clients, investors and financial institutions across the region while strengthening links between Chinese, UAE and international capital markets. The move follows sustained engagement between the bank and DIFC.
China Securities joins a group of Chinese institutions in the centre that includes Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China, Bank of Communications, China Construction Bank, China International Capital Corporation, China Merchants Bank International and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China. China's five largest banks collectively account for more than 30% of total assets in DIFC's Banking and Capital Markets sector.
