Dubai tops global FDI rankings in cultural and creative industries for fourth consecutive year

Dubai ranked first globally for greenfield FDI project numbers in cultural and creative industries for the fourth year running in 2025, according to the Financial Times' fDi Markets report.

The emirate attracted 754 new projects across sectors spanning advertising, digital services, film and gaming, artificial intelligence, design, architecture, and entertainment, generating 19,304 jobs and drawing AED 13.81 billion in capital inflows.

Among 233 cities tracked, Dubai outpaced London (227 projects), Singapore (197), Riyadh (157), and Bengaluru (132), while also placing second globally for FDI capital inflows in the sector. India led source markets with a 19% share of greenfield FDI capital, followed by the United States (17.5%), China (13%), Malaysia (12%), and the United Kingdom (9%).
