UAE credit reports now incorporate micro-loans

Micro-loan obligations are now reflected in UAE credit reports following Etihad Credit Bureau's integration of account data from CashNow, a product of Botim Finance – formerly Quantix – which is part of the Astra Tech group.

The move extends the bureau's recent inclusion of Buy Now, Pay Later data from providers including Tabby and Tamara, broadening the formal credit reporting system to capture an increasingly diverse range of digital consumer borrowing. Botim Finance has submitted micro-loan profiles for more than one million CashNow customers to the bureau since Q2 2025, covering both existing and new users along with relevant historical account data.

For consumers, timely repayment on CashNow products can now contribute positively to their formal credit history and strengthen their credit profiles over time. For lenders, the change provides a fuller picture of an individual's financial commitments when making credit assessments. Consumers can access BNPL and micro-loan data through the Etihad Credit Bureau app or download their report as a PDF.
