Saudi FDI stock surges 12% to USD 299bn at end of Q1 2026

Saudi Arabia's stock of foreign direct investment reached approximately SR 1,122.8 billion (USD 299 billion) by the end of Q1 2026, a 12% year-on-year increase, according to data released by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

FDI accounted for around 32% of total foreign investment in the Kingdom. The broader stock of foreign investment in the Saudi economy climbed 18% over the same period to SR 3,530.8 billion, distributed across portfolio investments – comprising equity, investment fund shares and debt securities – totalling SR 1,467.3 billion, and other investments valued at SR 940.7 billion.

The figures underscore sustained international confidence in the Saudi economy as the Kingdom advances its Vision 2030 diversification agenda and positions itself as a leading destination for long-term capital across the region.
