Aldar–Mubadala JV acquires Masdar City asset for AED 654m

Aldar Properties and Mubadala Investment Company have acquired The Link at Masdar City for AED 654 million, expanding their joint real estate portfolio.

The fully leased asset spans 32,000 sqm across five buildings, featuring Grade A offices, a net-zero energy HQ and mixed-use facilities. Tenants include Masdar and the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence.

The deal supports the JV’s plan to build an AED 3 billion portfolio of income-generating assets within Masdar City, a hub for clean energy, research and advanced technology.

The acquisition strengthens exposure to sustainable real estate as demand grows for ESG-aligned assets in the region.
