Dubai launches Global Microbiome Ecosystem to drive health and longevity innovation

Dubai Future Foundation, the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) and Crescent Enterprises have launched a Dubai-based global microbiome research and development initiative aimed at advancing innovation in health, longevity and wellness.

The initiative, known as the Global Microbiome Ecosystem, was unveiled at The Microbiome Revolution symposium in Dubai and is designed as an IP-focused platform integrating research, innovators and industry stakeholders. Anchored in Dubai, it will support knowledge creation, talent development and the commercialisation of microbiome-driven health solutions.

Officials said Dubai’s regulatory frameworks and innovation sandbox environment position the city as a natural hub for frontier health science. The collaboration is expected to accelerate translational research and strengthen Dubai’s role in shaping the future of precision health and longevity on a global scale.
