Dubai leads global Greenfield FDI rankings

Dubai has reinforced its position as a top destination for foreign direct investment, topping global Greenfield FDI rankings for the eighth consecutive half-year period.

In H1 2025, the city recorded 643 Greenfield FDI projects, marking the highest number ever for any city in a half-year period since records began in 2003. This was 478 more projects than the second-ranked city.

The emirate also advanced to second place globally for total Greenfield FDI capital, up from fourth in H1 2024, and rose to third place worldwide for jobs created through inward investment, an improvement from fourth last year. Analysts attribute Dubai’s success to its resilient economy, strategic location, and focus on technology-driven and sustainable sectors.
