The UAE has been named the world’s safest country in 2025, according to Numbeo’s Safety Index Mid-Year Review. Climbing from second place, the UAE’s safety score rose from 84.5 to 85.2.
Gulf nations continued to dominate the global safety rankings with Qatar ranked third, Oman sixth while Saudi Arabia and Bahrain placed 14th and 15th respectively.
The UAE’s top ranking is attributed to its effective law enforcement, and advanced surveillance systems. Cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi benefit from AI-powered smart policing and strong security infrastructure, contributing to swift crime detection and low crime rates.
