GCC approves pilot phase of one-stop travel system

The GCC has approved the first phase of a one-stop travel system aimed at streamlining immigration, customs, and security procedures for air travel within the participating countries.

Under the new system, travellers will be able to complete all formalities at a single point, reducing wait times and improving efficiency. If the trial proves successful, the system is expected to expand across all GCC member states.

The initiative was endorsed during the 42nd meeting of GCC Interior Ministers, alongside the adoption of a unified electronic system to track travel violations and a comprehensive security strategy to combat money laundering.
